In an intensely deep EDGE class, a guy like Derick Hall gets underrated and overlooked by many fans. In a typical class, there’d be a buzz about him as a first-round prospect, but it’s unfortunately different this year. He put up an impressive 90 pressures at Auburn through his final two seasons. His body build is meant for the pros, as he’s lean and muscular. Coming from an SEC school with satisfactory production and with gifted physical traits, it’s hard not to see him becoming a quality number-two pass rusher. Just don’t expect this guy to be a true number-one pass rusher.
Four all-22 games and his highlights were evaluated. This scouting report includes grades on all relevant traits based on his film. His scouting report also factored in stats and analytics, such as PFF grades. Use promo code TREYSCHNEIDER on Underdog Fantasy to match your deposit up to $100. In this clip above, Hall shows his nasty long arm move. The Tackle oversets, and Hall drives his left arm into the chest of the Tackle with imposing force.
Here he wins a rep with an easy inside swipe move. He gets a tremendous get-off and finishes with excellent closing speed to get the sack. It’s good to know he had a little finesse in his game.
In this one, he helps make an impressive run stop. Against Darnell Washington, he does a good job of getting low and using his strong hands to disengage.

Final Conclusion
Despite what might not seem like the ideal size, he has plenty of length and raw power to work in the NFL. I love how he has a go-to move, but he needs to expand upon his pass-rushing arsenal. With more development, though, he can become a bonified number-two guy.
