Emmanuel Forbes was among some of the most stunning combine performances this year. His weight at only 166 lbs is a concern, but he put up a thoroughly impressive 40-time and ten-yard split at 4.35 and 1.48. In addition, his broad jump showed how explosive he is, and his arm length is plenty sufficient. At Mississippi State, he came away with 13 picks over his career. He also registered seven pass breakups this past season. With excellent production and stellar testing numbers, what’s not to love about Forbes? Looking past his weight, this would be a top-20 player in this draft. It’s just about how much you weigh his size into the equation.
Two all-22 games and two broadcast games were evaluated, and clips from his film are broken down here. All relevant traits were graded based on his film. His scouting report also factored in stats and analytics, such as PFF grades. Use promo code TREYSCHNEIDER on Underdog Fantasy to match your deposit up to $100. In this clip above, Forbes makes a terrific play on the ball. He’s in press-man and times his punch well with good accuracy. He then disrupts the catch point on the receiver to force the incompletion.
Here, he’s in press-man again and does an excellent job of staying in the receiver’s hip pocket all the way through the route. He is aggressive in transition and shows fluid hips.
This Twitter clip shows off all the things he can do as a ball hawk.

Final Conclusion
Emmanuel Forbes is a guy who could work as a first-rounder for a team in need of a Corner. The position will go off the board early, and whoever needs one will likely have to reach, and Forbes wouldn’t be the worst last resort in the first. He very well could slip to day two as well, where he’d be phenomenal value. Regardless of where he goes, he has a sound chance at success if he can stay healthy.
