Player Notes

ED Travon Walker Bio

  • Walker is a very unique Edge prospect and as of 3/31/21 has the second-highest odds to be drafted number one overall; is one of the biggest boom-or-bust prospects I’ve ever evaluated
  • His elite speed combined with a great frame and strength gives him tremendous upside as a bull rusher
  • He will be a solid day-one impact in run defense despite how raw of a player he is; his block-shedding ability is stellar
  • Has the flexibility to play on the interior on pass downs; may even be a better pass-rusher from the interior
  • While his natural explosiveness is rare, he was consistently the last D-lineman to get off the line of scrimage from snap to snap, and his bend will limit his upside as a true edge rusher
  • There are no true pass-rush moves he can execute well; will be a major project
  • Despite his large frame, his strength isn’t as overwhelming in pass-rush as some analysts claim it to be; still is elite and could likely improve
