Player Notes

Desmond Ridder Bio

  • Ridder is far from an elite prospect but has some traits that are rather rare for a college QB
  • Elite straight-line speed for a QB; will be a major threat on designed runs
  • Great processing ability; can anticipate difficult throws and goes through progressions quickly
  • His ball placement is typically good, however, when he misses, he misses bad and does so often; this is the only thing holding him back from being a quality starter
  • Great pocket feel also paired with a good release; makes him a good pocket QB
  • Doesn’t have great lateral agility and elusiveness
  • He will very likely never be an elite QB with his arm talent and accuracy issues
