Player Notes

Sam Howell Bio

  • Sam Howell, while being one of the most difficult prospects to evaluate has all of the physical traits to be an elite QB, but seriously lacked consistency with his accuracy and decision making and has a long way to go with his processor
  • Has the big play mentality; loves taking shots downfield and can extend plays with ease
  • His deep ball can occasionally be spot on, but he still misses on those more often than not
  • Looks to run a bit too often, though that can be improved over time
  • Has a good natural ability to quickly go through progressions, but still often doesn’t make the proper read or looks off open receivers
  • While he could work in a pro-style offense, it is not ideal for his development
